Hunalan’s adhesive color traps come in yellow, blue, and white. Yellow is the most versatile and effective against aphids and whiteflies; blue is especially recommended for thrips; and white for flies and flies in general. Selecting the right color maximizes the attraction of each species and improves the effectiveness of biological control.

How many traps should I place per hectare or per square meter in my crop?

The optimal density is usually 200–300 traps per hectare in standard greenhouse crops, equivalent to one trap every 10–15 m². In very sensitive crops or those with high pest pressure, you can increase the number to 400 traps/ha to ensure more thorough sampling and capture. For small plots (less than 1,000 m²), simply spread them evenly and make sure to cover all paths and shaded areas.

How long do the traps last before they need to be replaced?

Thanks to Hunalan’s long-lasting adhesive, our traps maintain their capture power for 4 to 6 weeks under normal growing conditions. If you notice the adhesive surface is saturated with insects or losing its stickiness, it’s time to replace it to ensure continued effectiveness. In environments with high humidity or frequent fumigation treatments, check weekly and replace it sooner if you notice deterioration.

What is the difference between dry and wet glue traps?

Dry glue: They have a durable silicone film that generates no residue and is faster to install; they are ready immediately.

Wet glue: These use a high-viscosity liquid adhesive that covers the entire surface, slightly increasing the capture rate but requiring slightly more handling.
Both options are 100% recyclable; the choice depends on your preference for cleanliness (dry glue) or maximum trapping efficiency (wet glue).

Can your traps withstand conditions such as strong winds, irrigation, or fumigation?
